Ukraine: Import and export for January-August 2019

According to the analysis of data by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine for January-August 2019, conducted by CementInfo.Ru:

• import of pebbles, gravel, crushed stone (HS code 2517) has made 282982 MT (161.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 3053959 MT (61.0% compared to the same period in 2018). For August 2019 import of pebbles, gravel, crushed stone has made 38157 MT, export - 364456 MT. . The largest exporters to Ukraine in monetary terms were: Turkey (45.6%), Belarus (21.7%), Greece (11.7%). The largest importers from Ukraine in monetary terms were: Belarus (50.0%), Russian Federation (33.3%), Poland (12.4%).
• Import of portland cement, cement (HS code 2523) has made 564494 MT (79.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 463866 MT (130.0% compared to the same period in 2018). For August 2019 import of portland cement, cement has made 21428 MT, export - 46586 MT. . The largest exporters to Ukraine in monetary terms were: Belarus (32.0%), Russian Federation (26.1%), Moldova (21.9%). The largest importers from Ukraine in monetary terms were: Romania (37.0%), Hungary (20.4%), Poland (14.8%).
• Import of fireproof cements (HS code 3816) has made 39444 MT (112.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 960 MT (41.0% compared to the same period in 2018). For August 2019 import of fireproof cements has made 4356 MT, export - 122 MT. . The largest exporters to Ukraine in monetary terms were: Germany (33.8%), China (17.9%), France (11.0%). The largest importers from Ukraine in monetary terms were: Belarus (29.1%), Russian Federation (19.6%), Uzbekistan (11.9%).
